21/09/2018 - EPE 2018 Conference

This conference celebrated in Riga (Latvia) between 17 and 21 September brings together yearly experts in power electronics and electric drives areas intended for industrial and transport processes and energy applications. This research group participated with two papers. The first paper presented, "Efficiency map to evaluate the performance of kinetic energy storage" is related with the methodology for determining the efficiency of the electric drives, kinetic energy storage systems (KESS) in this case, and its application to a wave energy generation plant. The second paper presented “Test bench implementation to calibrate ageing and voltage unbalance in a large series connection of supercapacitors” is related with the problems that arise in large series of supercapacitors (cells) connected in series. Aging and voltage unbalance in cells are studied after a significant number of cycles.
