Mónica Gómez graduated as Technical Forestry Engineer from University of Valladolid. She did an internship at CEDER-CIEMAT, as well as her final project “Grain-Size Reduction of Pine Bark with Energy Purposes”. She worked in the Biomass Unit in projects consisting on emission sampling and measurement of domestic stoves and pilot plants using different types of biomass. She has taken part in pelletisation pilot plant studies to develop new fuels from different source materials. For three years, she worked in the Biomass Characterization Laboratory doing different chemical and physical analysis of ashes and raw materials. Currently, she is working in the Thermal Conversion Processes Unit at CEDER-CIEMAT, taking part in projects such as measurement of biomass combustion emission, emission factor determination and emission inventory update.
