Medical Applications
We participate in projects dedicated to the improvement of gamma radiation detector modules in PET systems. This includes the development of simulation tools for radiation detectors, the design and construction of more efficient electronic radiation detection and the implementation of new image reconstruction techniques based on Neural Networks. We have developed the GAMOS tool that allows you to easily and flexibly use the Geant4 code for simulating radiation transport using the Monte Carlo method. The design, construction and characterization of targets is another objective together with the design of accelerator shields for the production of radioisotopes.
