ACADEMIC FORMATION

PhD in Chemistry, Univerity Autonoma of MAdrid (UAM, 2012).

Since 2007 she has been carrying out her research activity at High Level Waste Unit (HLWU) of the Spanish Research Center for Energy, Environment and Technology (CIEMAT) in the field of hydrometallurgical separation of radionuclides for advanced nuclear fuel cycles.

RESEARCH CARRER

Since 2007, she has been part of the High Activity Radioactive Waste Unit (URRAA) of CIEMAT, through several contracts in which She has carried out studies on nuclear fuel in two well-known branches differentiated: (1) the selective separation of radionuclides by different hydrometallurgical methods (mainly based on the liquid-liquid extraction technique), as well as studies focused on (2) the manufacture of matrices: ZrO2 inerts doped with actinides, UO2 matrices and/or irradiated nuclear fuel analogues.

As a predoctoral and postdoctoral researcher, she has developed R&D work focused on the management of used nuclear fuel, financed by different projects and contracted by CIEMAT (ENRESA, SYTRAD, SYTRAD II, SOPSEP, DISCO, ACSEPT, ACESCO, SACSESS, GENIORS and PATRICIA), as well as by the Complutense University of Madrid (QUIMAPRES). She has participated in the scientific-technical proposals for the development of new national and international projects, in the scientific coordination of the SOPSEP national research project, as well as in the writing of more than 50 technical, monitoring and final reports (in Spanish and in English).
