Chemistry as a multidisciplinary science (UAM, 2004). Bachelor of Sciences degree. Graduated from Chemistry (UAM, 2002).
RESEARCH CAREER
Current Head of High Level Waste Unit (HLWU) of the Spanish Research Center for Energy, Environment and Technology (CIEMAT). Since 2008 she has worked in aqueous partitioning chemistry for the optimization of actinides extraction systems including the study of their stability by running irradiation experiments, and being scientific contact and responsible of the research line since 2012. Besides, she has an extended experience in organic chemistry related to the design and synthesis of selective extractants for lanthanides and actinides extraction, as well as of multi-functionalized macrocycle receptors. Since 2002, it has participated in national and international research programs (FP5, FP6, FP7 and H2020) related to chemical separation technologies involving spent nuclear fuel and radioactive waste, where the most representative projects are H2020 PATRICIA and GENIORS, FP7 SACSESS and ACSEPT, FP6 EUROPART and FP5 CALIXPART.
