LACISEP is The Flow Cytometry facility at CIEMAT and provides a state of the art facility to support the research being carried out at the Center. The objective of the laboratory is to develop flow cytometry applications for our scientists and collaborators by designing services that meet their specific needs.
These services include routine cytometric testing, technical & management courses on the technique, and research collaborations. The laboratory enables both the processing / labeling of samples and the planning / design of new analysis and cell separation experiments. LACISEP is integrated into the network of accredited laboratories of the Community of Madrid and complies with the ISO 9001:2015 (ER-0449/2019). The scope of this certification applies to the performance of analysis assays by flow cytometry and cell separation of human cells (Quality Policy of LACISEP)
The laboratory is located on the 2nd floor of Building 70 (room 23). In addition to the equipment, the laboratory is equipped with two biosafety laminar flow cabinets II, refrigerator / freezer, centrifuge and other common equipment.
Our laboratory is represented in the field of hematopoietic and epithelial cell biology and supports a wide variety of research programs. The laboratory maintains a set of reagents, including antibodies against the cell surface and intracellular targets as well as nucleic acid probes and reagents for the determination of apoptosis and other functional assays. These reagents are available to laboratory users allowing small-scale pilot studies.
CIEMAT (Center for Energy, Environmental and Technological Research) is a Public Research Organization attached to the Ministry of Science and Innovation, focused mainly on the fields of energy, the environment and biomedicine and the technological fields related to these. Biomedicine at CIEMAT is represented by epithelial biomedicine programs, molecular oncology and advanced therapies in the hematopoietic system.
