Creep Test
- The creep test is performed using a tensile specimen to which a constant stress and temperature are applied. The test is recorded on a graph of deformation as a function of time.

In the laboratory, the following can be performed:
- Creep tests in air:
- Use of 32 uniaxial creep machines to perform creep tests in air using standard and miniature specimens.
- The ovens have a temperature of up to 1200ºC.
- Use of a CIEMAT data acquisition system to record the measured data.
- The creep tests carried out follow the standards EN ISO 204 y ASTM E139.

- Creep tests in different environments (inert gas, liquid metal, etc.):
- Use of 5 uniaxial creep machines to perform creep tests using a capsule containing an inert atmosphere such as argon, and / or liquid lead.
- The furnaces have a temperature of up to 600ºC in tests carried out on liquid lead.
- Use of a CIEMAT data acquisition system to record the measured data.
- The creep tests carried out follow the EN ISO 204 and ASTM E139 standards.

Tensile Test, Toughness, Fatigue Crack Growth, etc.
- The Laboratory consists of two MTS-810 servo-hydraulic machines for carrying out tensile, toughness, crack growth, etc. tests. by using standard and miniature specimens according to ASTM & ISO test standards.
