Unit of Fuel Cells and System Integration
The Unit of Fuel Cells and System Integration belongs to the Energy Department of the Research Center for Energy, Environment and Technology (CIEMAT).
The Unit, under the supervision of Dr. Tomás González Ayuso, is formed by about twelve researchers, four of them with permanent position in CIEMAT.
Group members actively participate in the scientific and technological development of Fuel Cells and auxiliary elements as systems for clean and efficient energy generation. The diversification of energy resources and the implantation of distributed power generation systems, not connected to the electrical power grid, can provide to the society significant technological innovation advances.
All members of this Unit have demonstrated experience, from a basic research point of view, in the development of new components, to a technological development, with the large-scale fabrication of components for the final preparation of demonstration units for uninterrupted power supply. Unit performs its activities in close collaboration with complementary groups.
