The High Level Waste Unit (HLWU) of CIEMAT is organising a Raman Workshop on the back-end of the nuclear fuel cycle, which will be held in Madrid on the 28th and 29th of February 2024 (including a visit to our facilities on the 1st of March).

Our aim is to continue with the idea of the last Raman Workshops on Actinide Oxides which were held in 2016 (Karlsruhe) and 2017 (Orléans). This event intends to provide once again an informal, interdisciplinary and international forum for the discussion on current advances in Raman spectroscopy in the nuclear field; this time not only devoted to the characterisation of actinide oxides but also to the use of Raman spectroscopy on different aspects of the hydrometallurgical partitioning processes.

The workshop program can be found here.
