Paula Nieto Chacón

DEGREE

Bachelor Degree in Geology (Universidad de Granada, 2018) and Master Degree in Science and Technology of Architectural Heritage from the same university (2019). My master's thesis was dedicated to the characterization of the materials of an Archaeological Site in Turkey using different techniques (XRD, petrographic microscope, SEM-EDX, TEM-AEM).

RESEARCH CAREER

I have worked in collaboration with a restoration studio, characterizing materials from old buildings in Granada (Spain). I joined CIEMAT in February 2020 as a research assistant and my studies are framed in the field of pore water chemistry and the geochemistry of clay minerals.
