New models of head and neck cancer in Fanconi Anemia patients.
Fanconi anemia patients are at very high risk of developing squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (SCC and C). In addition, the disease occurs at a very young age and treatments are not effective. Therefore, new treatments are needed for this population at risk. Researchers from CIEMAT, Instituto de Investigación Hospital 12 Octubre, CIBERONC, CIBERER and IIS-FJD have created new cell models that will allow the search for more effective therapies in these patients.
