R&D+i
We are aware that soil, despite its importance, is the great unknown for the general public, and this, although it sustains and conditions all human activity and affects our daily life. Let us think about crops and mining areas that have suffered an unsustainable exploitation, or let's remember everything soil provides us, apart from food, such as raw materials for the pharmaceutical or textile industry, the agricultural sector, or even landscapes and tourism. From our Soil Conservation and Recuperation Unit (CoReS), structured in six research, innovation, and development lines, we study, analyze, and understand soils with the aim of proposing solutions to: treat them, exploit them in a sustainable way, or remediate situations caused by past activities spanning over many years.
