We are aware of population increase in population and the abandonment and loss of agricultural soils. Agriculture is fundamental in our society, because cultivation provides food, fodder, medicines, suitable products for obtaining energy (biogas, bioethanol, etc.) or for industrial use (fibers, cosmetics, etc.) and everything depends on a healthy soil. CoReS is committed to protecting the soil within the production system, for this purpose we work on the development of sustainable and precise agriculture, adapting crops to soil and climate, using appropriate soil management and protecting biodiversity. Crop rotation, the use of suitable amendments, the biofortification of crops and obtaining more nutritive and healthy products are our goals. The recuperation of abandoned agricultural areas and marginal lands and to launch production is not only important at the environmental level, but also involves economic and social aspects, providing alternatives in these affected agricultural areas. Recalling one of the FAO slogans "healthy soils for a healthy life".
